The life and times of HUGO BUS

Pirate flags, Pop-Tops and Pootling: Camper Marmalade setting up! Day one and the skies are doing their best impression of a wet flannel — grey, blustery, and not entirely sure if it can be bothered to rain properly like most of this week... It doesn't matter. The pop-top's up, the Jolly Roger is doing its best to take off in the wind, and the field is filling up with the kind of automotive company that makes a my T4 feel part of the gang .. not old. Vans of every style and age, Tents, gazebos, fold-out tables, the obligatory bag of snacks scattered on the grass — festival HQ is taking shape nicely.... Oh and loads of alcohol and chats. There's something brilliant about a campsite full of people who still know all the words, even if the moves have mellowed slightly over the years.... that's what great about Tribute and cover bands.
